Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. The father of her Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley and the mother of her child Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix's athletic talent was evident from the moment she started attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. After her first audition, she placed among the top two athletes at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 200 meters in just 10 weeks. Felix graduated from her high school year in 2003 and was signed by Adidas to become a professional athlete. The following year she enrolled at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal at the 2004's Summer Olympics in Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s which set an all-time junior world record. The 2005 Helsinki World Championships saw her become the youngest woman to take home the 200 meters race. She defended that title, beating her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed in the top 3 in her various races in the Olympics that took place during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
