Beyonce Giselle Knowles was conceived in
Houston, Texas on September 4 1981. Her mom, Tina Knowles-Lawson designs their
glittering costumes & her dad Mathew Knowles manages Destiny's Child.
Solange, her sister (4 years apart) released her debut album. She dances with
her big sister at DC-3 shows. Beyonce's of Louisiana Creole & African
descent. Whitney Houston found her and her band. Lovefool by The Cardigans is
one of her top songs. Her top item of clothing is a pair metal work boots. She
was the writer and producer of many of the group's hit songs, such as
"Jumpin jumping", "Bootylicious", Nasty Girl","
Independent Women", "Happy Face" and "Apple Pie A la
Mode". She is the lead vocalist of Destiny's Child. In her opening show,
she was on tour with Christina Aguilera (2000). TLC was their opening act
(1999). Master P was a cat. He was a student at the High School for the
Performing and Visual Arts of Houston, Texas. Solange's older half sister and
Nixon and Koi Knowles big sister. The two appeared in Star Search (1983). The
singer was the first African-American woman ever to be awarded the ASCAP Pop
Songwriter of the Year Award in 2001. She is a huge lover of Middle Eastern
music, dance and culture. Her biggest hit song to date is "Crazy in Love"
(2003). Her appearances on awards shows include the Radio Music Awards, MTV
Europe Video Music Awards, and Billboard Awards. In November of 2003, Bono of
U2 organized the South African AIDS benefit concert. It was a way to combat the
AIDS epidemic in sub Saharan Africa. (February 8th 2004) Five Grammy Awards,
including Best Contemporary R&B Album for "Dangerously in
Love", she took home the most awards from this year's (2004) show. Mathew
is her father. The mother of her, Tina, is of Louisiana Creole heritage -
predominantly African and French with ancestors who came from Louisiana, and,
before this, Canada. Beyonce is also 1/32 Irish and has distant Breton and
Spanish, Indonesian and Chinese roots. According to some, she developed a stage
persona known as "Sasha" to conquer her shyness.
