Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed in Los Angeles, California on the 18th of November, 1985. Her father Paul Felix is an ordained Minister of the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. Her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix was aware that she had an aptitude to run when she was a student at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After her first audition she was ranked in the top two at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships, for 200 meters in just 10 weeks. Felix graduated from her high school year in 2003 and became a part of Adidas to become a professional athlete. Following that, she enrolled at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic gold medal during the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record in the 200-meter race with a time of 22.18. The year 2005 was the time she became the youngest world champion of 200 meters during the Helsinki World Championships. She won the title again in 2007, beating her former Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed in the top three in all of her races in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
